I was first introduced to this snare by my Instagram feed. I was sitting there in a studio with my guitarist working on the mix of our album at his college. And as soon as that ad popped up on my feed I was in love with both the sound and the look. My guitarist looked back at me as I looked at him with awe. I had to sit on this purchase for a week but then I knew what had to be done and as soon as I got it I had a field day with it. It already sounded amazing.
I then thought to myself, “What if I put an Evan’s Black Chrome head on the bottom?”. Immediately I went on Sweetwater and bought a head. Had to wait a few days but the wait was well worth it because with that new bottom head, this is without a doubt THE best snare I’ve heard for heavier types of music. Tighten those heads up, have it slightly out of tune. You won’t regret it.

Horrible sound I changed the top and bottom head with no luck would not recommend this drum at all.
This snare blew me away! The band and soundman love it too. It has ‘pop’ but not all of the ‘tin high end’ that overpowers when someone is a heavyhitter. Absolutely sits well in the pocket.
